Google Shopping Integration Upgrade

Project Scope

  • Ability to export a Category to Google Shopping
  • Continuously automatically update Google Shopping with price, stock and other changes to these products
  • Allow for versions of products to have their own urls
  • Automatically remove products from the feed when they are removed from the chosen categories

MailChimp email marketing & Phonovation SMS marketing

A comprehensive email and SMS marketing platform is a must for an ambitious online retailer. Our development team are currently working on an upgrade to our current Mailchimp and Phonovation integration.

Upgrade the current Mailchimp integration

  • Send more information for each email address to allow more targetted email campaigns
  • Include number of preious orders, last order date, total order revenue, average order value, county, country, data of birth
  • Include order history so that emails can be targetted based on previous orders for particaular products, categories and brands of products
  • Receive analytics back to abcommerce including open rates, last opened, etc
  • Allow opt-outs through MailChimp to sync back to abcommerce as the master database
  • Allow other mailing lists to be included in GDPR process to ensure that opt-ins + opt-outs leave an audit trail
  • Look at Mailchimp Pro Level + Mailchimp GROW Plan
  • Automated Sign-up Emails
  • Automated Emails - e.g. at a certain interval after a product has been purchased
  • GDPR Compliance


Release a new integration with Phonovation

  • Have a similar integration to Mailchimp so that all opt-ins and opt-outs are synced with Phonovation for SMS mobile numbers
  • Match the mobile number with the email address so that texts can be not sent to customers who have recently opened a marketing email (to keep SMS costs down)
  • Validate mobile phone numbers are entered in correct format
  • Allow single opt-in for both email and SMS
